EASTER FUN

 Easter is right around the corner! We love Easter, the colors, the season, the treats and another excuse to give something special to friends and family!

The idea of Easter baskets and the Easter bunny seems long gone as an adult (unless of course you are the Easter bunny these days), but the holiday of springtime really deserves to be enjoyed just as much as Christmas, Thanksgiving, Valentines or New Years! 

At Lou Lou we made Easter Baskets for each of our stores just for fun to show our appreciation to our employees (follow us on Instagram to see pics).  This got us thinking about a fun idea for our customers ... whether its for a sister, a neighbor, your kids teacher, or a co-worker who has been especially fantastic these days, why not create for her a

BIG GIRL EASTER BASKET?

We went ahead and picked out some of our favorite things that we thought would make for a respectable, and appreciated Big Girl Basket:

Start with a fun basket or tray, its nice to make it a container or basket that is going to serve another purpose ... decoration, storage, even a ceramic mixing bowl! The selection of baskets pictured are ones we loved from 

Pier 1 Imports, there are so many other cute, usable & affordable options at places like Target or Michael's crafts. 

Filling the basket:

This is where it is important to remember that you don't need to FILL THE BASKET OVERFLOWING ... just add a few great items that you know she will really enjoy! Of course you can't go wrong with a bottle of wine! White or Red, whatever her preference a good bottle of wine goes a long way ... pictured above is Fancy Pants, an affordable wine you can get at the grocery store but it's also super cute and goes nicely in an Easter/Spring filled basket!

Now you picked the wine the next item is easy! How about a nice bag of delicious chocolates, we are partial to some Ghiradelli, Ferrero Rocher & Lindtor Truffles, but anything you know she will love will do just fine!

FINALLY:

A nice addition to a little Easter basket is something for her to accessorize an Easter outfit with! A pastel necklace from Lou Lou or a cross bangle to pair with the rosegold watch she got from the Mr. for Valentines. We have the perfect piece to add to the basket, something she won't forget!
