At a number of our Lou Lou locations we have chalkboards covering the interior. We are on the hunt for local artists who want a chance to showcase their talent and artwork for a period of time at Lou Lou, as well as be featured on our blog and other social media outlets!
Our first featured artist is, Pamela Shockey, a local artist based out of Hamilton, VA.
Pamela specializes in oil, acrylic, and watercolor painting, as well as pencil and charcoal drawing. She is known for painting animals and these paintings are reminiscent of pop art in that she uses a very limited, but bright palette that results in objectifying the animals.
The chalk drawings currently in our stores were all done by Pamela Shockey and as you can see they are truly beautiful and one of kind!
Pamela received a Bachelor of Fine Arts, with a major in Art Studio, from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL. You can see more of her work on her website pamelalbshockey.com and get her contact information.
